Tuesday night we traveled to Boling to take on the Bulldogs in our 4th district game. In what turned out to be one of our worst offensive nights we found a way to grind through and pull away late. Credit the boys for their willingness and mental toughness to stay the course through a off offensive night. We stayed aggressive on offense and kept shooting it we just didn’t have our regular shots fall for us. What did go right for us was defensively we were active and grabbed some big rebounds with both our guards and posts, and our press caused a lot of turnovers. I was proud of the guys effort and intensity even on a night where it would’ve been easy to pack it in and find excuses due to the lack of offense. Friday is an off date in district play for the Sharks, we are back on the court next Tuesday the 15th against rival Tidehaven in Tidehaven. Tonight’s win pushed the JV Red Sharks overall record to 13-4 and 3-1 in district play.
Scoring for the JV Red Sharks was Jacob Guerrero with 15, Julian Diaz with 10, Micah Sanchez with 6, Nathan Perez with 6, Jordin Nemes with 5, Edan Tran with 4, and Daniel Gonzales with 3.
